The cozy ambiance complemented by charming decor made me feel at home, and the inviting seating areas provided the perfect space to relax and socialize. Accessibility for seniors was well-considered, making navigation easy and enjoyable.
A larger dining area would be appreciated.

The staff were exceptionally helpful weaving through all our requests and the food served was as if it was made by a chef who truly cared about quality and taste I mean that steak pie was a revelation its flavor exploding with every bite and the cozy atmosphere at the pub was just what we needed after a long day.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but considering the comfort and service it was worth every penny.

Our experience there was something else. First, I mean we got a lovely shortcrust steak pie, not that puff pastry nonsense, I really appreciated that. Second, the locals were friendly, and we felt like part of the community right away, chatting over drinks like old friends.
Sure, it wasn’t the least expensive, but the quality justified it.

The food consistently impressed, with hot plates and excellent evening meals prepared by the talented chef. The cozy room featured a luxurious spa bath, adding a special touch to our stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere. The only downside was the somewhat limited menu options, but they were happy to accommodate requests. Location-wise, it was a bit remote but worth the peaceful retreat.

Charming Retreat in a Quiet Setting
Our family had a delightful stay. The room was spacious and impeccably clean. We loved the spa bath feature for unwinding at the end of the day. Don't miss the generous portions of the lasagne—truly homemade flavors! A top-notch traditional breakfast kicked off our journey back.

Spacious accommodations tucked away in a charming setting made for a comfortable stay. The full English breakfast, showcasing local produce, was a highlight, alongside the delicious lasagne I enjoyed for dinner. The warm atmosphere combined with friendly staff created a welcoming vibe, perfect for unwinding. a bit more soundproofing could improve guest comfort at night as noise from fellow guests was noted.

The food at The Shoulder was a proper treat! The goat curry was out of this world, and the hearty breakfast fueled our day, with friendly staff making sure we felt at home. Plus, the garden was a hit for the kiddos—and the dog! All around, a fab place to unwind.
Only a night stay felt too short, and our room was a bit cramped with the family. A touch more room would’ve made a world of difference!

Had a great weekend with friends at this cozy pub! The kids loved the play equipment, and the local fishing spots were just around the corner. Andrea whipped up an amazing breakfast, and we enjoyed tasty meals cooked by Chris in the evenings. The hospitality was top-notch, and the atmosphere was friendly. This is a must-visit if you're looking for a genuine pub experience!
I was a bit surprised that the menu had some variations not available all the time, which can be a letdown if you have your heart set on something specific.

We had a lovely stay with our son at this quaint pub. The family room was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed the beautiful garden out back. Brian, the owner, made us feel right at home and even shared local ales with us.
In my wife’s opinion, a bit more variety in the breakfast options would be great.
